Updated over a week ago

Protect your real IP address from exposing while downloading torrents, please follow the set up below and make sure you are connected to SwitchVPN using SwitchVPN application ( Windows | Mac ) :

Step 1.  Open SwitchVPN application and connect to any VPN server , once you are connected to the VPN, you will see a port number which is forwarded for your connection. We will use this port number to set up in BitTorrent client in step 2.

Step 2. Open BitTorrent client and click on Options > Preferences > Connection and  enter your port forwarded number from SwitchVPN Client in "Port used for incoming connections:"  For eg. 51034 .

Step 3. Now once you have set the Port number, also Check  "Enable UPnP port mapping" , "Enable NAT-PMP port mapping" and "Add Windows Firewall exception" and click on Apply

Now you can start downloading torrents anonymously and securely without exposing your real IP address. Enjoy!

Pro Tip : Enable Network Lock ( AKA "Kill Switch" ) from SwitchVPN application > Settings > General Tab. To Cut off your Internet connection in case VPN is disconnected unexpectedly.
